Mergent, Inc. Announces Dividend Achievers Total Returns for 3Q 2006
New York, NY, October 17, 2006 – Mergent, Inc., a leading provider of dividend and custom indices, today announced total returns for its Dividend Achievers™ Index Family for the three months ending September 30.
During the quarter Mergent enhanced its Canadian offering with two new licensed products. On September 8th, Claymore Investments launched two classes of exchange-traded funds, the Claymore CDN Dividend & Income Achievers ETF common shares (CDZ) and the Claymore CDN Dividend & Income Achievers ETF advisor shares (CDZ.A). Mergent’s Canadian Dividend & Income Trust Achievers™ Index serves as the benchmark index for these two products and is calculated daily by the American Stock Exchange under the ticker “ACD”. The Index is comprised of a subset of Mergent’s Canadian Dividend Achievers™ Index and of a group of Canadian Royalty and Income Trusts and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). The subset of Mergent’s Canadian Dividend Achievers™ Index will constitute 70% of the total weight of the Index and the Canadian Royalty and Income Trusts and REITs will constitute 30% of the total weight of the Index
